What other IT Communities are you involved with or frequent?
I am one of the 4 guys who are a part of the vBrisket Community in Pittsburgh, PA. We have a good group of attendees that come out for relevant panel discussions or presentations focused on virtualization. We smoke brisket, pork, and ribs and we have a friend who brews the beer. We are hosting the now “SOLD OUT!” vBrisket Party at VMworld on Monday night in San Francisco.
What advice would you give to others involved in the VMware community who are looking at becoming a vExpert?
Get involved with your local VMUG or start one if there are no local options. Get out of your comfort zone and speak at your local VMUG meeting, it can be a 10 minute talk about a product that helped you do your job. It’s a success if you helped just one person.

I have a 3 host VMware cluster running vSphere 5.5 with shared storage running VCSA, DC, VDI, SQL, PernixData, and VUM to name a few.
How do you use VMware products or services in your daily work life?
I manage the existing virtual environment while looking ahead at other products that would enable the business to be more agile and profitable.
