  • Spoke at VMUGs in a dozen-plus cities (Dallas, Minneapolis, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, Chicago, Kansas City, Madrid, London), plus EUC Day Minnesota
  • Wrote for the official VMware vSphere Blog (29 posts)
  • Authored the Upgrading to VMware vSphere 6.7 and Upgrading to VMware vSphere 7 eBooks

As a Customer and Partner (National Specialty Alloys & Sigma Solutions, 2012-2018)

  • Managed IT infrastructure at National Specialty Alloys as the customer actually running the technology; brought in Infinio’s storage accelerator to fix VDI latency, covered in TechTarget
  • Gave “Quitting Is Too Easy” at VMworld 2014, a vBrownBag session run by Alastair Cooke, filmed and streamed live, the talk that convinced me to keep presenting
  • DJ’d SpiceWorld 2013 as DJ Whiplash (also featured on Spiceworks TV under that name), returned in 2014 and presented in 2015
  • Consulting Engineer for VMware EUC at Sigma Solutions (now part of Computacenter), the partner and VAR side of the industry: pre-sales and post-sales for vSphere, Horizon, App Volumes, and UEM
  • Presented Leveraging User Environment Manager to Remove GPOs at vBrownBag, and spoke at EUC Day 2016 on supporting VDI solutions with Matt Heldstab
