Work Smarter. Not Harder.
Less paperwork. Less frustration. More clarity. More time.

Work smarter, not harder is more than a saying to me. It’s the test I hold every piece of technology against: does this make life simpler, or did it just add one more thing to manage? I help people and small businesses clear out mental and operational clutter. That means organizing the information that’s scattered everywhere, smoothing out the workflows that eat your evenings, and building simple systems you can trust. The goal never changes: Less Time Remembering. More Time Living.
Is This You?
If any of these sound familiar, you’re exactly the kind of person I enjoy helping.
- You’re constantly searching for emails, files, or notes.
- Customer information lives in too many different places.
- Every quote, invoice, or proposal feels like starting over.
- You spend evenings catching up on paperwork instead of relaxing.
- You know technology could help, but you don’t know where to begin.
- You have great ideas but no system for keeping track of them.
None of those problems are really about technology. They’re about friction, and friction is fixable.
What I Actually Help With
I don’t sell software, and I don’t believe every problem needs another app. Most fixes are smaller than people expect. I look for the little frustrations that quietly steal your time every day, then I build the boring, reliable thing that makes them stop.
That might mean getting your business knowledge into one organized place, streamlining the paperwork you redo from scratch every time, building templates and documentation people actually use, or setting up a digital teammate that works the way you already work. Every business is different. The fix should be too.

How We Get Started
I keep this simple, and the first step is free.
First, we sit down. Thirty minutes about the one thing that eats the most of your time. In person or over the phone, no slideshow, no pitch, nothing to buy. I ask questions and I listen. Every business has that one thing, and you already know yours.
Then you get your game plan. A few days later you’ll have it in writing: the problem in plain words, the fix I’d start with, and one thing you can do yourself tonight for free. Some people take the plan and handle it all themselves. That’s a fine outcome, and I mean that.
Then, if you want help, we build. We agree on the plan and the price before any work starts, and everything I build belongs to you: your accounts, your passwords, your keys. Some clients keep me on after with a monthly arrangement that costs about what a bookkeeper does. One improvement every month, no surprises on the bill.
Who I Work With
I enjoy working with people who care about what they do but feel like their systems haven’t caught up with their business. Small business owners. Independent professionals and consultants. Healthcare, trades, and service businesses. Anyone overwhelmed by information.
You don’t need to understand AI. You just need to know there’s probably a better way.
Real Examples
I document what I actually build, and I give a lot of it away. My free resources on GitHub include templates you can use today, no email address required. Client case studies are on the way, written as the work ships. Nothing will appear here that I didn’t build and run for real.

About Nigel
I’ve spent more than 25 years helping people solve technology problems, and somewhere along the way I realized the biggest challenge was never the technology. It was information. People lose hours searching, remembering, recreating work they’ve already done, and managing complexity nobody asked for. Today I build trusted systems that carry that mental load instead, because technology should work for people, not the other way around.
